• Using a salicylic acid cleanser every day can be beneficial for your skin, but it’s important to start slowly, especially if you’re new to it. Salicylic acid is a powerful ingredient known for its ability to deeply cleanse pores and reduce acne. Initially, you might want to use the cleanser a few times a week to see how your skin responds. If your skin tolerates it well, you can gradually increase the usage to daily. This approach helps your skin adjust without causing irritation or dryness. Remember, everyone’s skin is unique, so listen to your skin and adjust your routine accordingly.

When you begin incorporating a skin cleanser with salicylic acid into your routine, there are a few things you might notice:

• Initial Purging: Some people experience a purging phase, where the skin breaks out more at first. This is temporary and occurs as the salicylic acid clears out the pores.
• Dryness or Irritation: You might find your skin feeling dry or slightly irritated in the beginning, but any irritation tends to subside with continued use, as your skin adjusts to the product. Using a moisturizer can help counteract this.
• Clearer Skin Over Time: With consistent use, you should start seeing a reduction in acne and an overall improvement in your skin’s texture and appearance.

How to Use 

• Massage a pea-sized amount of our Salicylic Acid Cleanser into wet skin for 30 seconds to a minute and rinse off. Avoid the eye area. If you’re new to chemical exfoliants, start out slowly by using this product around 3 times per week and slowly build up to daily use if your skin can tolerate it. On days that you don’t use this, use our Hydrating Gentle Daily Cleanser to wash your face instead. Continue use even once your skin has cleared up. Follow up with a suitable moisturizer. We highly recommend either our Crème B3-B5-E with 4% niacinamide or the AccuHydra Hydrating Gel Crème for acne-prone skin types.

It also contains a high level of linoleic acid, which research indicates is deficient in the sebum of individuals with acne.
